Child and Adolecent Psychiatry
Child and adolescent psychiatry is a specialized branch of psychiatry that focuses on the mental health and emotional well-being of children and adolescents, typically from birth through the age of 18 or sometimes even up to 21 years old. It’s a field of medicine that deals with the unique psychological and developmental challenges that young people face during their formative years.
Medication Management
These are regularly scheduled appointments to assure the optimal dosage and medication regimen.
Care is taken to treat patients as individuals regarding specific diagnosis, wants and needs, and ongoing treatment planning.
Comprehensive Diagnostic Intake / Psychological Evaluation
This is a 90 minute initial appointment. We take time to completely understand your concerns and to work together to find the treatment strategy that best fits your needs and preferences.
All psychiatric intakes include diagnostic feedback, treatment recommendations, and prescriptions (if warranted).
Individual Therapy
Weekly individual therapy involves 45-minute weekly sessions, in which we check in about your mood, progress toward goals, and teach and practice new coping skills.
For youth under 18, weekly individual therapy also involves checking in with parents during most sessions and some parent-only and/or family sessions.

CBT is used to treat a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety disorders, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and more.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a specialized and evidence-based form of cognitive-behavioral therapy that was originally developed by Dr. Marsha M. Linehan in the late 1980s. DBT is designed to help individuals who struggle with emotional dysregulation, impulsive behavior, and difficulty in managing interpersonal relationships. It has been particularly effective in the treatment of borderline personality disorder (BPD), but it is also used for various other mental health issues, including mood disorders, self-harm, and substance abuse.
